THE BREATHE COURSE

A dynamic learning experience covering the Research, Clinical Protocols, Diagnostics, and Management of Sleep Disorder Breathing & Tongue-Tie Disorders.

Our courses continually evolve in response to three main stimuli:

1) New understandings gained through research and clinical experience,
2) Input from participants,
3) Observations of our own team.

If you've  taken the Breathe Course before, here are the main changes that you can expect this time around:

a) Enhanced on-demand content.
16+ hours of our foundational content has been moved into the 'pre-recorded lectures' section in order to open up more live-time for the latest updates to our protocols and paradigm.

b) Prolonged access to resources and content.
We have extended the duration that you will have access to pre-recorded course materials to 1 year.

c) More convenient schedule.
With more of the foundational content shifted to on-demand, pre-viewing, you can learn at your own pace. Also, we were able to condense the course into 3 dynamic days of live course sessions, over 1 weekend. (rather than 5 days over 3 weekends as before).
  • 16 hours of live lecture with Dr. Soroush Zaghi,
  • 8 hours of discussion with Dr. Zaghi and the TBI team,
  • 6 hours of online workshops with the TBI team including myofunctional therapy, suture training, and practice management.

This live-streamed course delves into the research on, impacts/diagnosis of and treatment options for tethered oral tissues and sleep disordered breathing in children and adults. Plus new content on innate immunity and best practices in telemedicine.

We look forward to carrying onward alongside you all to further revolutionize the standards of care in sleep, airway, and overall health!

What This Course Is
This is a professionally recorded, full-length version of the most recent Breathe Course live event delivered in October 2025.

You will receive all lectures and clinical teaching exactly as presented in the live course, including the latest airway health research, practical clinical frameworks, case discussions, and implementation strategies. Content reflects the standards and best practices as of the recording date.

What You Don’t Get (vs In-Person)
The On-Demand version does not include any of the in-person experiential elements such as hands-on surgical wet labs, live patient demonstrations, small-group interaction, or immersive, practice-based sessions.

If you want those live, interactive components, plan to attend a future in-person Breathe Course. The curriculum in person includes structured hands-on learning that cannot be delivered through video alone.

Who This Is For
On-Demand is ideal if you:

   • Cannot travel or commit to a multi-day live course right now
    • Want a solid foundation in airway-focused clinical reasoning before attending live
    • Need flexible timing to learn on your own schedule

It gives you the full didactic experience and clinical frameworks you need to improve decision-making in practice.

  • Develop an understanding of the differential diagnosis for the root-causes of sleep-related breathing disorders, sleep bruxism, and cycle of oral dysfunction in pediatric and adult populations; and be able to screen for and identify the clinical signs of mouth breathing, tongue-tie, limited tongue-space, sleep-disordered breathing, and myofunctional disorders among patients in your practice.
  • Learn how the clinical definition of ankyloglossia has evolved over recent years and learn the step-by-step surgical protocol of tongue-tie surgery while recognizing the broader context of myofunctional (tongue-tone) and maxillofacial (tongue-space) issues.
  • Learn to assess the impact of sleep-related breathing disorders on pediatric and adult populations through interpretation of sleep studies, CBCT diagnostic imaging, video recordings of sleep, and other clinical assessment tools and modalities.
  • Observe the protocol in action through live case studies, as well as hands-on participation with suture training, laser, and myofunctional assessments.

Dr. Zaghi graduated from Harvard Medical School, completed residency in ENT (Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery) at UCLA, and Sleep Surgery Fellowship at Stanford University.

The focus of his sub-specialty training is on the comprehensive treatment of nasal obstruction, snoring, and obstructive sleep apnea.

He is very active in clinical research relating to sleep disordered breathing with over 97 peer-reviewed research publications in the fields of neuroscience, head and neck surgery, and sleep-disordered breathing.
