CARLA LEARRAGA - SPEAKER

Carla Learraga is an accomplished oral health professional with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science from the University of Queensland. With a career focused on Orofacial Myology, Carla orignated The Thumbsucking Clinic in North Queensland Australia in 2011, where she specialized in teaching proper breathing and oral muscle habits for over 10 years. She trains health professionals through her course, The Thumbsucking Professionals.

Carla currently teaches Orofacial Myology to dental and speech professionals nationwide. Carla is in demand as a speaker, having co-presented at prominent events like the Breathe Oral Habits Program in Los Angeles and served as co-director for the Australian Academy of Orofacial Myology since 2012.

Her research on non-orthodontic interventions for digit sucking has been published in the International Dental Journal, further establishing her expertise in child facial development.
